Stay on a working farm
The farm lies between several nature reserves of Drenthe and Friesland, within walking distance of the Kyllotsbos woods. We are the third and fourth generation to live and work here.

Country life up close
The farm used to be a mixed farm; today we grow potatoes, sugar beet and grain, among other crops. On the yard you see country life up close, and every season has its own work: preparing the land in spring, harvesting in autumn.
Chickens, horses and ponies roam the yard. The detached stookhoes is where meals were cooked and calves were raised; the cows stood under the farmhouse roof, where the two new guesthouses are now.

Bring your own horse
There are beautiful bridle paths around the farm and in the nature reserves, and in the Drents-Friese Wold they are all connected. Don’t miss the Spartelplas near the Canadameer, a lake where you can swim with your horse.
Next to the farm is a well-drained 20 x 40 metre riding arena that can be used almost all year round. Jumping equipment is available, and we can provide dressage and jumping instruction if you like.
Our horses spend as much time as possible in the meadow and usually stay in the stable at night, on straw and hay from our own land. We assume any animals you bring have had all required vaccinations.
Contact us to ask whether there is room for your horse.
